The Approach

Passionate About The Lived Experience of Body - Mind - Breath

Alignment by Kelly Glynn seeks to create an environment without rigid ties to a specific tradition or patterns, without competition, where you are invited to explore with sensitivity, your relationship to body, mind and breath.

The concept of Alignment  grew from a passion to explore, understand and translate the embodied experience. It has been informed by a

rich,  diverse, vast and profound training, expertise and experiences I have encountered in the study of the human body and its movement potential.  As a former gymnast, swimmer, diver and coach my interest in movement and movement analysis has grown from authentic roots.

Studying Physical & Health Education, Drama at the University of Toronto, Theatre Performance at George Brown and Massage Therapy at Centennial College provided  an in-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, biomechanics and a comprehensive understanding of the kinship between body, mind, emotion and spirit.

At Alignment each person presents with a unique body narrative;   a collective experience  that will inform their knowing, understanding and dynamic integration. We simply ask our clients to: " Be open and receptive to new possibilities in your body."

Alignment is not about one right method but about discovering how a multitude of ideas inform our sense of alignment.  The richer the sources that we may draw from, the more dynamic and integrative the resulting alignment may become.  This is why we draw from both Western and Eastern views and include the somatic approaches of Alexander Technique, Mind-Body Centering, Feldenkrais, Rolfe, Sensory-Awareness, Authentic Movement, Laban/Bartenieff, Qi-Gong, Tui Na, Yoga, Cranial-Sacral, Reflexology, and Dynamic Imagery.
